I've been writing an annual retrospective since 2020. The format has changed a little over the years, but overall it's a look back at my own tech changes and projects throughout the year, particularly those not covered already by another post on this blog.

The annual retrospective post that started in 2020 lives on for another year. Publishing right at the end of January 2025, I'd like to say it was a strategic move to avoid all the other 2024 reviews, but alas, I've just been a little slow to actually publish it.

If you are at all involved in writing software I would highly recommend watching the film Aardvark'd: 12 Weeks With Geeks. It's a documentary filmed in 2005 following four interns at Fog Creek Software, in NYC.
